I used to get maybe 7 -8 hours of sleep before. Lately, my son has been getting up like twice a night. OMG!!! It’s hard, but my body has conformed to it, sadly. Another thing that has changed is that we can’t just leave whenever and stay out for however long. Everything is on a schedule now and it revolves around that little boy.

All The Photos…
If you go through the all of the photos in my phone, you will see that they are almost all of Anthony. I seriously can’t stop taking pictures of everything he does. Then for each picture, I have maybe 3 or 4 copies for some weird reason. When he does something that I think is cute (Which is every second of the day), I tell him to “STAY JUST LIKE THAT. Of course he doesn’t understand that. I can always seem to get a, we call them “say cheese” picture. Those are the phony and pre-planned smiles! haha Those are great. They are not the real emotion and happiness that you can see in a picture snapped at the right moment, but they have to work sometimes. So, back to the all of the pictures being of Anthony in my phone. I have my days when I feel decent looking and I’ll take a so called “selfie”, but usually it is of Anthony. Go back to the days before my son. My phone was full of pictures of myself and my fiancé. Having children sure change everything and for the better!
Anthony’s dinner
For dinner, I made spaghetti with homemade meatballs. Instead of using ground beef, I used the Jimmy Dean sausage and it was a hit! My fiancé and my son both loved it. If Anthony decides something is actually good that I make, it was successful cooking and I will be making that again. Downside to that, if he eats a lot of something one time, he most likely won’t touch it next time. Oh, the wonders of a toddler. Anyways, back to this dinner. I put some garlic bread on the side and Anthony chose a banana. I highly recommend making your own meatballs! They turn out so much better than buying them. Plus, you can thrown different things in the midst of you putting them together 🙂
Toddler in Karate
My son just started karate last week. It is by far the cutest thing that I have ever watched in my life! He has a gi and a white belt. Every ten classes that he attends, he gets a yellow stripe on his belt. It is so exciting to me that he can do different activities. It’s ridiculous how much joy watching your child have a lot of fun can bring to a parent. Good idea on keeping the class 30 minutes long because the instructor can barely keep their attention for that long. Most of the time, they play games, but they try to throw some beginner karate in there. I really hope Anthony continues to love karate and it is a nice little way to get all of his energy out! haha 🙂
Being a Strong Person
The reason I started this blog was to share about my life and also so I can share my feelings and not have the negative feedback. I haven’t posted something in a few weeks so it’s time to get going again. The past several months, my family has been going through some changes. I don’t want to get into details, but not all the changes are good. My fiancé and my son are all good. It has nothing to do with our relationship. It’s hard to be so used to the life you live, and for it to be just ripped from you is overwhelming. People take their lives for granted. I know I did. I got so used to our every day routines and didn’t take the time to appreciate everything. When something negative impacts your life, you definitely take a look at your life and how much you love it. You would do anything and everything to protect it. I am a mom, fiance, employee, student, daughter, granddaughter, friend, plus many more. It it so hard to try and be the strong role model that mothers need to be. The mothers are what keep a family happy and together. When the mother falls apart, what happens? I am lucky enough to have my family and friends to be their for me. But sometimes they are too much and I don’t want to hear what they say. I know before the situation that we are in, I was a very judgmental person. I still am in a way with certain things. It’s hard not to be sometimes. I hate when people think they know everything when in fact they don’t know anything. People have opinions about stuff they do not know about. They just think they are so smart. Little do they know, the comments they make or write, hurt. I know you should not let it get to you and you need to let it go. But let’s be honest, sometimes you want to be able to punch them right in the face as hard as you can. It’s hard to not let things bother you. It goes back to being the strong mommy. My son is 2 1/2 and definitely knows when I am sad. He is the reason that I stay positive and am happy.
My 3 Other Babies
Does anyone else have a bed that looks like this at night?! This is how my bed is every night. I have my smaller dog, Tinkerbell, who sleeps under the covers, at the end of bed by my feet. My bigger dog, Gus, I at the other side, at the end. Then my cat, Bella, is in the middle of them at the end. No matter what is done, they take over the bed. We never have room to move! BUTTTTTT…if even one of them is not on the bed, I get sad and go get them! They are my babies. Good thing we have a huge bed!!! 🙂
Crockpot Taco Soup
Today is the 1st day of the Oregon Ducks football game! I put in the crockpot all day (and yes it smells amazing) this taco soup recipe. It came out so good!
1/2 lb of hamburger (I prefer to use turkey)
1/2 onion diced
1 tbsp taco seasoning
1/2 c taco sauce
2 cans diced tomatoes
1 can black beans
1 can tomato sauce
1 1/2 c tomato juice
1 can corn
Optional Topping: Sour cream, shredded cheese, tortilla chips
1. Brown the meat, diced onion and taco seasoning over median heat.
2. Drain and transfer to a slow cooker.
3. Add the remaining ingredients into the slow cooker (except the corn). Stir everything together.
4. Cook on low 6-8 hours.
5. Add the corn in the last 45 min of cooking. Add extra tomato juice if the soup is too thick.
6. Serve with sour cream, shredded cheese, and tortilla chips.
This is really yummy and a family hit!! I will make this again for sure 😀
T-ball Fun
We bought Anthony a t-ball set tonight and he is in love with it. I can’t believe how fast he catches on. I can’t wait until I can sign him up for sports 🙂 He was signed up for an indoor soccer class but the class for his age group was too baby for him. Once he turns 3 in January, we have more options. My boy is so silly. It feels like yesterday he needed me for every last thing and now he wants to do everything himself. He’s growing into such a good boy.
